Africa Oye FestivalAfrica Oyé is the largest free celebration of African and Caribbean music and culture in the UK, taking place every June in the picturesque surroundings of Sefton Park in Liverpool. Having grown from humble beginnings to being the biggest African music festival in the UK, Africa Oyé is now one of the biggest in Europe, last year attracting crowds of over 75,000 people from all over the UK…and it’s still growing.

Africa Oyé is a registered charity and partially funded by the Arts Council of England North West and Liverpool City Council, in addition to sponsorship, advertising, in kind support and the revenue generated from pitched traders and merchandise.

As well as live music, the festival features The Oyé Village – over 80 stalls selling food and drink from all over the world, arts & crafts, African clothing, hair demonstrations, face painting and much more.
